To Me

In continuation to my post earlier today:

During breakfast, I was listening to Leona Lewis' rendition of Snow Patrol's RUN:

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you, dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak, I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you, dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak, I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you, dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak, I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

This became my muse for what I wrote during breakfast:

Walk my way
I'll be here waiting
To the winds, I'll pray
To bring you to me

Even if you can't hear my voice
Know that I'm whispering your name
Even though my arms are far from you
Its embrace still holds us close together

Run to me
I'll meet you here
Keep your faith in me
Yours I hold within

Knowing I can't look into your eyes
Justifies my loneliness here
But I'll still be here waiting
Against time to be together once more

The One For Mi Sol

I like to take a song, get rid of the lyrics, and rewrite new words to the music.

Here's one sung to Beyonce's "That's Why You're Beautiful" for Mi Sol . . . . te sabes quien eres.

The ice walls around me
Now melt with your intensity
That's why I love you so . .

The emptiness now feels full
With the love you've shown me
That's why I love you so . .

Chorus:
I don't really care . . .
How Why When Where
Just words to me
The answers are there . . .
Within both you and me
Just hold me close . . .
And you will know . . .

The blindness once misguided me . . .
Now you've shown the light . . .
That's why I love you so
Guide my heart to your side . . . Love . . .
Help me find my way . . .

Repeat Chorus

I've lived my life alone
Not needing anyone else
My spirit used to wonder
Unknowing where it should go
But now it's found its proper place . . .
Right next to yours

That's why I love you so
That's why I love you so . . .

The One With The Happy Day Promise

I promised someone that they'd be happier today then they were yesterday

I am delighted to report that I kept my promise

With these stargazers I present to thee;
For thy health set my mind at ease;

Though my own cannot there be;

My spirit still presides in thy kiss.

I am happy, too

The One With "A Dream Within a Dream"

My all time favorite poet, Edgar Allan Poe, once asked the question:
"Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?".

What for us is reality and what is just a dream?

Lately,
despite the chaos of the world and the confusions within our lives,
I actually found a small piece of a dream that exists in my reality.

For knowing that, I am always blessed.

This is for you.

A Dream Within a Dream

By: Edgar Allan Poe

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow—
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand—
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep—while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

IF ONLY . . .

Through the window glass

I gaze to infinity

The horizon beckons

My spirit free

I touch the sunlight

With the tip of my finger

And hope that far away

You can hear my whisper

Wings of birds

They seem enchanting

Mystified by space

Though never-ending

I often wonder

What your mind would say

If you can see me now

In this golden ray

Land and see

Over distances far

Join day and night

By the evening star

All the obstacles

Keeping you from me

Can only make me dream

If only . . .
