Weddings! BLAH!
I went to a wedding dinner reception last nite and there were several other Malaysians there as well (Groom: Argentine; Bride: Malaysian). The reception was awesome - albeit it starting quite late (invitations stated it to begin at 930pm but we only began at 11pm and the dinner 3 course meal didn't end till after 1am).
Ok, and now here I am - the only visibly single bachelor among a group of married Malaysians. And that alone should have been enough for any bachelors to cringe. They keep asking the same lame ol' questions: "Do you have a girlfriend?" "When are you going to get married?" "My daughter is available . . ."
GOOD GRIEF!
Lay off me, for crying out loud.
Ok, enough of that. Let's just say that my "diplomatic" skills were overworked that night in trying to answer and or avoid those questions and comments. Oy vay!

muhahaha..
what to do, ayam patuk itik menyudu!
i.e. it's one of the many malay's diplomatic traits, the small-talk on marriage, which also could be perceived as being caring, other than the usual mistakenly labelled as 'penyibok'
:)
Dude,
Go and watch Wedding Crashers and learn something from the movie.
Dei . . . .Ingatkan sapa lah gelaran "katakbesar". But thanks to the inquisitive mind of Micai, we found out. Was curious who it was. Thanks to katakbesar for being the first to comment on my blog.
And yes, "selagi tidak hilang Melayu di dunia, selagi itu penyibok bermaharajalela".
FYI to all penyiboks: I happen to like my bachelor life. Marriage is NOT for me.
